A quel punto Celionati aveva cercato di spiegare al buon popolo cos'era quella cosa fantastica che aveva appena visto. Si trattava nientemeno che del corteo della bellissima principessa orientale Brambilla, che era ospite con tutto il suo seguito del principe Bastianello da Pistoia, proprietario del palazzo e noto al pubblico romano per le sue frequenti facezie e per la sua saggezza magica.
